Deleting your HoldingHands account
HoldingHands is a product of LEANERTOGETHER PTE. LTD., Singapore. This page explains exactly what happens, and it is the same thing that happens inside the app.
In the app, in two taps
Open HoldingHands, tap your name at the top right, then tap Your data. You will find two buttons: delete your own account, or, if you are the owner, delete the whole family circle. Both ask you to type a word first, and both happen immediately.
What is deleted when you delete your account
Your sign-in and password, your name and contact details, your weekly check-ins, your coach conversation and coach memory, your notification settings, and any link you made to another app. Duties you had claimed go back to the family so a shift does not silently vanish.
What you recorded about the person you care for stays in that family's record, without your name attached. It is their care history and it belongs to everyone looking after them. If you want that gone too, the owner of the circle can delete the whole circle, which removes it for everyone.
What is deleted when the owner deletes the circle
Everything. Every member, every parent profile, every medicine, appointment, reading, note, photo, document and expense. Nothing is archived, nothing is kept for later, and it cannot be undone. Download the family record first if you want to keep a copy: the app offers that on the same screen.
How long it takes
Immediately. Backups roll off within 30 days, and no copy is used for anything in the meantime.
If you cannot get into the app
Write to chinhock@holdinghands.sg from the address on your account and we do it within 72 hours, no questions asked.
